Filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi’s classic comedy Andaz Apna Apna (1994) re-released in theatres today. Produced by the late Vinay Kumar Sinha, it has an ensemble cast of Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Paresh Rawal, Shakti Kapoor among others. In an interview with us, Vinay Kumar Sinha’s daughter Priti Sinha said that an actor from the film asked for money in order to promote its re-release.

A chip off the old block, Priti wishes to express her gratitude to all the team members who have helped promote AAA’s re-release. “They have been very supportive. Only a few of the team members have not shown much team spirit. One actor asked us for money to promote the film. We are relatively new to all this. But we are learning,” she said.

Priti is confident the film will do well. “AAA has amazing resale value,” she said. “It is a beloved film. We have been able to get less screens than Ground Zero and some pockets have opened not so well. But we are confident Andaz Apna Apna will find its audience.”

Andaz Apna Apna is about Amar (Aamir Khan) and Prem (Salman Khan), two good-for-nothing youngsters who wish to be rich in quick time.
