Bollywood actress Ananya Panday recently expressed her desire to venture into the realm of commercial massy cinema. The actress, in an interview with Hindustan Times, shared her aspiration to portray characters with shades of grey, reflecting the complexities of real-life individuals. Ananya emphasized her commitment to avoiding stereotypes and connecting with the audience on a relatable level.

The actress stated, “I want to do characters that are neither black nor white, but grey. It is so easy to stereotype people nowadays, I want to be on the middle ground somewhere. I want to do characters that of how people are actually in real life, some real characters. People should be able to relate with me.”

While expressing her eagerness to explore diverse roles, Ananya Panday revealed her interest in being part of big commercial films, citing her love for such cinema as an audience member. She said, “I have just started out and there is so much that I want to do. It is a longer journey ahead. I want to do big commercial massy cinema because I also love watching that as an audience. I also want to do a biopic of a sportsperson or a classical singer or dancer, something where I have to learn a specific skill for something.”

Talking about Ananya Panday’s film front, she was recently seen in Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav starrer Kho Gaye Hum Kahan. The actress has also been working on a cyber thriller directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. Apart from films, Ananya will be making her debut in web series with Call Me Bae that is slated to premiere on Amazon Prime Video. The show will feature her as a wealthy fashionista, who is disowned by her family after a major scandal.
