In light of the increasing threat posed by deepfake videos, actress Ananya Panday emphasized the necessity for government regulations to protect public figures from technological misuse. At a recent media interaction during the IIFA Awards 2024, she expressed her concerns regarding the alarming trend of celebrities, including Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, and Rashmika Mandanna, becoming victims of this sophisticated AI technology. “It’s very scary. As public figures, our faces and voices are out there. (So) I don’t know how much we can safeguard. I think it will have to come from regulations by the government, that’s probably the only solution,” Ananya stated, highlighting the vulnerability of those in the public eye.

Reflecting on her experience, she shared, “Last year, it was my first-ever stage performance at IIFA, so I was very nervous. This time too I was nervous but I had more fun. I was dancing to some of my favourite songs like Jhumka from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.”
