Taking on the most talked-about topic which has been gaining worldwide media coverage, Amul India weighed in on the current hot topic of Hollywood - Depp and Heard’s ongoing defamation trial that is being fought in Fairfax, Virginia. In the now-viral post, Amul shared a clever caricature of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard from the court along with the caption “Too much seen or Heard?” Below the caricatures, a text read, “Depp your knife in!” If you notice, both captions echo the names of the celebrities. As they shared the doodle, their caption read, “#Amul Topical: High profile and highly publicised legal battle!”

The post saw a plethora of reactions from users. "Savage lines," user wrote in the comments while another commented, "Hahha I never imagined this wordplay." "Good one Amul," said another user. "Ok it's so cool and JD is looking so cute #wearewithyoujohnnydepp #justiceforjohnnydepp JD is gonna win!!!" said a person.

The ongoing defamation trial began when Johnny Depp filed a $50 million lawsuit against former wife Amber Heard over an op-ed that she wrote in The Washington Post where she claimed of being a victim of domestic abuse. Although Amber did not mention Johnny in the piece she wrote, Johnny’s attorneys argued that it was clear that she was quoting him. Their divorce was finalized in 2017 after less than two years of marriage. A state court judge in Virginia's Fairfax County is overseeing the trial, which is in recess until May 16. Closing arguments are scheduled for May 27.
