The 95th Academy Awards, which was held on March 12 in Los Angeles, was indeed special for India as it created history. India bagged two Oscars at the prestigious award night. For the unversed, RRR’s track ‘Naatu Naatu’ lifted the trophy for being the Best Original Sound Track, while The Elephant Whisperers won the top honours in the Documentary Short category. As the wishes from across the country started pouring in, Amul also dedicated a post to celebrate The Elephant Whisperers' big win.
The adorable tribute features producer Guneet Monga, and director Kartiki Gonsalves standing beside the Amul girl and an elephant. It is captioned with ‘Haathi Mere Saathi' and ‘Amul jumbo taste’. The dairy brand shared the topical on Monday, and in no time netizens flooded the comments section with red-heart emoticons. “He he nice one,” exclaimed a user while another commented, “This one is an Oscar-winning ad, well done.” Not only Instagram users, but Guneet also reacted to the illustration.
The 39-year-old producer also took to the comments section and wrote, “So Epic!!! Thank you,” followed by a couple of elephant and heart emoticons. In fact, writer-director Disha Noyonika also shared the same post to congratulate Monga. Later, Guneet re-shared it on her Instagram story and captained it “Best.”

On winning the prestigious awards producer Guneet Monga asserted, “Tonight was powerful and historic as two women from India stood on the Oscars stage, lauded for their work. I’m so proud of The Elephant Whisperers, so proud of this moment and proud of my amazing team at Sikhya Entertainment. That an independent production house from India has made history and produced the first-ever Indian film to win an Oscar, still feels unreal. My heart is full of joy, love and excitement, most of it imbibed from everyone in India cheering for our win. I’m so grateful to the visionary filmmaker Kartiki Gonsalves and to Netflix who gave us the biggest stage in the world, believing in us all the way.
