Over the years, with his brilliant performances across various genres, Amitabh Bachchan proved why he is a legend. In fact, for his 80th birthday, Film Heritage Foundation had announced a four-day-long film festival dedicated to Bachchan. In his career spanning over five decades, he has been a part of numerous classic films. One of them, Do Aur Do Paanch, has clocked 43 today.

Celebrating the 43 years of the film, Big B took to his social media handle and shared a throwback picture, which is a snip from the film. In the monochrome picture, Amitabh can be seen sporting a rugged look in a pair of bell-bottom jeans teamed up with a denim jacket. Instagramming the image, he wrote, “43 years of 2+2 = 5 ; Do aur Do Panch.”

The Shahenshah of Bollywood added, “what fun this film was .. bell bottoms and all !!! …. Err the bell bottoms were very inviting those days .. went to see a film in a theatre, and a rat climbed into my pants .. thanks to the bell bottom,” along with a bunch of laughing emojis. Reacting to his post, many Instagram users showered love on the photo. “Superb nostalgia,” wrote a user, while another commented, “Old is gold.” A third one quipped, “so funny just like your movie.”

For the unversed, released in 1980, Do Aur Do Paanch was helmed by Rakesh Kumar. The action-comedy also features Shashi Kapoor, Hema Malini, Parveen Babi, Kader Khan, and Shreeram Lagoo, among others.

Coming to the professional front, the 80-year-old actor was last seen in Uunchai, which was released on November 11, 2022. The Sooraj Bharjatya directorial is a tale of three retired friends, who go on a trek to the Everest Base Camp to fulfil their dying friend's last wish.

AB has multiple projects in his kitty, including Project K and the official remake of the popular Hollywood film, The Intern.
