Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda makes his theatrical debut with filmmaker Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming film Ikkis. After beginning his acting journey with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, which released on OTT, Ikkis marks Agastya’s first big-screen release. The film also introduces Simar Bhatia, Akshay Kumar’s niece, who debuts opposite Agastya.

Ahead of the film’s release, the makers organised a special screening of Ikkis for Amitabh Bachchan. The legendary actor made a rare public appearance in the city and was seen arriving in a casual avatar. He entered the venue swiftly without posing for the paparazzi. Accompanying him was his granddaughter Navya Nanda, who came to support her brother Agastya.

Akshay Kumar was also present at the screening to cheer for his niece Simar Bhatia. The actor was seen warmly posing with his sister, and their sibling bond caught attention. Akshay opted for a simple yet elegant look, wearing a blue striped shirt paired with denims. Abhishek Bachchan also attended the special screening, which was held at Lightbox, while Agastya Nanda was spotted waving at paparazzi.

Ikkis also holds emotional significance as it marks Dharmendra’s last on-screen appearance. The veteran actor passed away on November 24 this year. To honour his legacy, the makers shared a behind-the-scenes video featuring Dharmendra, which was reposted by Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Esha Deol, leaving fans and family members emotional.

In the video, Dharmendra was seen addressing the film’s team with warmth and humility. He said, “I’m a bit happily sad today, the last day of shooting. I love you all; if I made any mistake, please forgive me.” He also urged audiences from both India and Pakistan to watch Ikkis, reiterating his long-standing belief in cinema’s power to bring people together across borders.

Expressing his gratitude for being part of the film, the legendary actor added, “I’m extremely happy to be in the Mandav Films project. The team, the captain, Shriram ji. It was done in a very nice way,” referring to director Sriram Raghavan and the production team.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis is scheduled to release in theatres on January 1.
