Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel is currently gearing up for her upcoming film Gadar 2 starring opposite Sunny Deol. The actress recently opened up about her upbringing and shared her views on parenting, stressing the significance of discipline and balance in raising children. Patel expressed gratitude for being raised with strict discipline, acknowledging that it played a pivotal role in shaping her character.

In an exclusive video interview with Bollywood Hungama, Ameesha said, “I am very happy I was disciplined; I was very happy I was strictly brought up because I see the generation how spoiled they are and I truly believe spare the rod, spoil the child. If they had spared the rod, I would have been spoiled. So, I am happy they didn’t spare the rod and I think if I had children, I wouldn’t spare the rod either.”

Patel firmly believes that discipline is essential for children's growth and development, and she highlighted that enforcing discipline is not about personal enjoyment but for their long-term benefit. She said, “I would go ahead and do what I had to discipline them because in the future that’s what would help them. I am only doing it for their good. I am not doing it because I enjoy it doing it. I am doing it for discipline. Like even I would want to bring them up, it’s okay to have an army like upbringing at the same time be friends because a balance of both is very necessary.”

Talking about the film, the highly anticipated teaser for Gadar 2 has been released. It is an upcoming action-drama film, which is directed and produced by Anil Sharma, with the story penned by Shaktimaan Talwar. Serving as a sequel to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, the movie stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma in the lead roles.
