Alia Bhatt recently opened up about her reaction to trolling in a conversation at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2023. Alia said that she has grown to accept that she will always be scrutinized in the public eye, but she tries to stay silent when she receives criticism from her fans. “I feel bad about the nasty things I read about myself or my loved ones, but I would never ‘fight with my audience,’” she said.
Alia Bhatt speaks about getting trolled: “I am a human being, I am bound to say four stupid things in public”
The Highway actress said that she believes in showing her gratitude to her fans for their support, even when they criticize her. “As long as my movies are doing well and I am entertaining them, I have nothing to complain about,” she said.
However, Alia does make a distinction between constructive criticism and “endless hate.” She said that she can't do anything about it if someone doesn't like her face, but she tries to ignore the trolls.
The Dear Zindagi actress also seemed to be hinting about her viral “wipe that off” comment, which many people interpreted as a dig at Kangana Ranaut. Alia said that she is a human being and is bound to say stupid things in public, but she believes in conducting herself with grace.
“I have never spoken back or said ‘you can't say this about me,’” she said. “Sometimes lies, complete lies have been spoken about me. I have never said anything back because I believe that is not the way I want to conduct myself.”
Speaking of the professional front, Alia was last seen in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. She will be soon gracing the eight season of Koffee With Karan along with Kareena Kapoor Khan.
