Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt recently sent over a sweet surprise to uplift the spirits of several frontline workers who are fighting coronavirus and saving the lives of many.

A doctor took to social media to share the picture of the assorted box of goodies sent by Alia. The box came with a meal, chocolate, a juice box, an apple, a bun and a thank you note from the actress. “Thank you for everything you’re doing to keep the community healthy and safe. You are the real heroes,” read Alia’s note of gratitude.

Sharing the picture of the box, a doctor named Shripad Gangapur took to Twitter and thanked the actress for her thoughtful gesture. “Thank you @aliaa08 for such a sweet surprise... much appreciated in these bitter times of pandemic..!!”

When Twitterati asked what the box contained, the doctor replied, "Aliaa sent Chocolates as a token of gratitude to all the doctors and health care workers out there fighting the coronavirus pandemic in Mumbai."

Meanwhile, Alia has been using her social media handle to send out positive thoughts during these grim times. The actress recently recited a poem she wrote on Earth Day and also sang a song along with Shaheen Bhatt to raise funds through the event I for India.
