Alia Bhatt is currently making headlines for her stunning appearance at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, where she walked the red carpet as the ambassador for L'Oréal Paris. While her ethereal red carpet look grabbed attention globally, the actor also offered fans a candid glimpse into her beauty secrets, work ethic, and thoughts on storytelling during a recent interaction with Marie Claire on the French Riviera.
Speaking about her skincare and eating habits, Alia shared how traditional ingredients continue to play an important role in her daily routine. The actor said, “We cook our food in ghee at least in my home, a lot of people do. And it's great, it's great for the gut, it's great for the skin”.
She further revealed a homemade snack she swears by for healthy skin. “There's this snack that I have, it's basically ghee with a little bit of jaggery - gur and some crushed peanuts and a little bit of coconut. It's a skin snack, I have it so that my skin looks great. And genuinely, it works. It really works”, she shared.
Apart from beauty and wellness, Alia also opened up about her fascination with the production side of filmmaking. Known for balancing multiple projects and responsibilities, the actor admitted that organisation is one of her strengths. “I'm really good at managing, I would say. So as a joke that I say to all my directors that you should hire me as your, you know, chief AD or your first AD and I'll really make a really nice production schedule. Because I love getting into the production aspect of bringing things to life”, she stated.

During the conversation, Alia also reflected on the larger impact of women being recognised on global platforms like Cannes. Highlighting the importance of representation and storytelling, she said, “It's interesting. I believe storytelling starts very young. So when young girls see women today, being awarded at such a prestigious platform, such as the Cannes Film Festival, along with, you know, the L'Oréal support, it'll, you know, build a sense of confidence in young girls today, to be like, hey, that that could be me one day, you know, so I should start writing my stories now.”
