The promo of The Great Indian Kapil Show hit the tube on Saturday as the comedy sketch show is ready to embark on its second season. Promising to be another starry affair, the promo boasted of some big Bollywood celebrities who will be arriving as guests for this new season and it included Alia Bhatt who will be arriving with Jigra co-star Vedang Raina. While featuring glimpses of the upcoming episodes, a sequence in the promo showed Alia referring to herself as Alia Bhatt Kapoor which left RaLia aka Ranbir Kapoor – Alia Bhatt fans excited.

Alia Bhatt refers to herself as ‘Mrs. Alia Bhatt Kapoor’

Readers would be aware that Alia Bhatt has never made an official announcement about adding Kapoor to her surname. But at the same time, the actress had earlier expressed her desire to do so when she got married to co-actor Ranbir Kapoor. Speaking about this particular sequence on The Great Indian Kapil Show, it features Sunil Grover in his famous Gutti avatar asking Alia about her name wherein the latter says, “I am Alia Bhatt Kapoor”.

The video found its way on social media and garnered multiple reactions from the users of the platform as they shared their two cents on this rare moment of the actress referring to herself as Mrs. Kapoor. “Feels like a dream actually.”, “Proudly saying” were some of the comments shared by fans. Meanwhile, a netizen also chided the other users about making this into a hoopla and added, “Some pple forgot she’s married. And formally she’s Mrs Alia Bhatt Kapoor or Mrs Alia Kapoor. I don’t get what the big issue is with her name that gets some pple mad.”
