Alia Bhatt promotes RRR from the middle of a river in Varanasi as she shoots for Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor : Bollywood News

Brahmastra co-stars and real-life pair, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have kicked off the last schedule of their sci-fi flick in Varanasi. Earlier this week, the two of them flew together in order to begin the shoot. Videos and pictures of the duo shooting the picturesque locales of Varanasi are going viral on social media. In a recent video, shared by fans who were gathered at the shoot, Alia and Ranbir are seen promoting RRR as they shot for the film on a boat.

The much-awaited film RRR will be released in theaters on March 25. The film has a special appearance by Alia Bhatt along with Ajay Devgn. Directed by SS Rajamouli, the film also stars Ram Charan and Jr. NTR. Now, in the latest video, Alia and Ranbir are seen standing on a boat as they are shooting for a scene in Brahmastra. They are seen waving to the fans standing at the bank of the river. One of the fans screamed “RRR”. Reacting to it, Alia too screamed “RRR” along with the fans.

Alia Bhatt will be making her South Indian film debut with RRR. She will be seen essaying the role of Sita in the film. The film is based on two Indian revolutionaries- Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, who fought against the British and Nizam of Hyderabad. Produced by DVV Danayya of DVV Entertainments, RRR is slated to release on March 25, 2022.

As for Brahmastra, it will be the first time that Alia and Ranbir will be seen together in a film. It is scheduled to release in theatres on September 9, 2022.
