Apart from being a popular face in India and internationally, Ali Fazal is also known as the much-loved ‘Guddu Bhaiyya’ from the popular web-series Mirzapur. Set against the backdrop of a violent town in central India, the show focuses on mafia and gang wars between warring families as they set their sight on the throne. With Ali playing one of the central characters along with popular names like Pankaj Tripathi, Divyendu Sharma, and Vijay Varma, the show is one of the most loved web-series in India and now dropping an update on the same, Ali has piqued the interest of his fans.

Ali Fazal, amid his hectic work schedules and film commitments, left his fans surprised when he dropped a series of pictures of him as Guddu Bhaiya from the sets of Mirzapur. Fans, who are eagerly awaiting to know what’s in store for the third season, shared their excitement on the platform. Ali posted a series of images where he has a gun in one hand and a walking stick on the other as he takes over the thrown of the violent town. He captioned these pictures saying, “@yehhaimirzapur Admin is tired of reading all #MS3W comments, hold the dots and slide to make me sit . Also WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO FINISH THIS SENTENCE - “ WOH SAB TOH THEEK HAI —————-“

The actor’s comments about how fans are anticipating an update on the show has sparked an interesting conversation on the social media platform. “Wait karte karte hamari tang bhi kamzor ho gayi hai (our legs are tired after the wait)”, “Bolo na cute bhaiya @alifazal9 ?????? kab ah rhi hai (Say na cute bro when are you coming)..... It's been a long time we are waiting for you all”, Abe kitna intezaar karaoge be (How much will you make us wait?)”, were some of the comments which were dropped on the post by fans who have expressed their desire for an announcement on the third season soon. Among them, Ali’s co-star from the show Vijay Varma also shared a comment saying, “Rilij kaar do naahi toh kaand ho jayega.. boojhe?”

Coming to Mirzapur, the show featuring an ensemble cast is expected to return with a third season. While the second season ended on a intriguing note with Munna Bhaiyya’s death, followed by a glimpse of Guddu taking over, the next season is too expected to hold some intriguing twists to the plotline. The show will premiere on Prime Video.
