Alaya F recently travelled to Paris for her vacation. She has been seen actively sharing her good time in the French city with her fans on social media. While the actress has returned to the bay, the Paris hangover is still very strong for her.

Recently, the actress took to her social media and shared some pictures of her posing at the Pont des Arts bridge. Alaya looked gorgeous as ever in an all-black outfit posing in front of the Paris skyline on the love lock bridge. “Sorry sorry I know I’m in Bombay now but I just realised I forgot to upload these nice photos,” she captioned the photo.

The Pont des Arts Bridge has a rich history. The bridge, which is a national monument, was constructed in 1984. It is a pedestrian bridge in Paris that crosses the River Seine. It links the Institut de France and the central square (cour carrée) of the Palais du Louvre. It is also popularly known as the lovelock bridge. This name was derived after tourists began attaching padlocks on the bridge railing since late 2008. Tourists would engrave or write their names on the lock and after attaching it to the railing would throw the key in the river. This romantic gesture is said to represent a couple's committed love. However, since 2012 the numbers of locks on the bridge reached an overwhelming number causing structural damage to the bridge. In 2014, a part of the parapet of the bridge also collapsed due to the weight of the locks. The Paris mayor then encouraged tourists to take selfies on the bridge instead of attaching locks by launching the "Love Without Locks" campaign. From 1 June 2015, city council workmen from Paris started to cut down all the locks.

The bridge has also been part of several romantic films including Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor starrer Befikre, where the lead actress is seen explaining the history of the bridge to the male protagonist.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Alaya F has an interesting lineup of films which includes U-Turn with Ekta Kapoor, Freddy with Kartik Aaryan and an untitled project with Anurag Kashyap.
