Akshay Kumar met Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma in Jaipur on Thursday during a brief visit to the city, where the duo discussed the state’s rising popularity as a filming destination. The meeting highlighted the actor’s admiration for Rajasthan’s hospitality, culture and rapidly improving infrastructure factors he said make him eager to return for more shoots.
As seen in visuals shared by ANI on X, Akshay Kumar was warmly welcomed with a bouquet and a memento. Dressed in a black kurta paired with matching trousers, the actor smiled as he accepted the honour during his interaction with the Chief Minister. In a separate video released by ANI, Akshay reflected on his long association with the state, recalling various films he has shot across Rajasthan over the years. He said, “This isn’t my first time here. I’ve done about ten films here in my career. I was telling our Chief Minister a short story. I was shooting a film at Chomu Palace. At 4:30 in the morning, as usual, I exercise. It was quite cold.”

Sharing a memorable anecdote from the same shoot, he added, “The watchman there saw me, so he took out his blanket and said, ‘Keep this, you’re our guest….’ The hospitality here is truly amazing… It’s true that if anyone wants to learn hospitality, they should learn it here."

The actor also praised Rajasthan’s rapid development, saying, “We discussed a lot of things… Rajasthan is emerging as a huge winner. So I’m looking forward to coming here to shoot more films… The infrastructure I saw while coming. There have been a lot of infrastructure changes in Jaipur, and things have moved very fast."
Following the meeting, Akshay shared his appreciation on social media as well. The actor, who recently appeared in Jolly LLB 3 alongside Arshad Warsi, is currently busy with his next project, Haiwaan, which has now entered its final shooting phase. He recently revealed his look from the film through an action-heavy Instagram video, marking his return to a negative role after nearly 18 years and adding to the excitement surrounding the project.
