Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is all set to bring back the magic of the cult classic song ‘Uncha Lamba Kad’ from the 2007 hit film Welcome in the upcoming third installment of the franchise titled Welcome to the Jungle. Sharing a nostalgic video on his social media, Akshay revealed that he would be recreating the iconic track alongside actress Disha Patani.
In the video, Akshay and Disha can be seen walking hand-in-hand, dancing to the revamped tune, with moments of playful romance and charm. The actor closes the clip by looking into the camera and addressing longtime fans of the original: “We miss you, Katrina!”—a heartfelt shout-out to Katrina Kaif, who originally featured in the song and film alongside Akshay Kumar.
Akshay wrote alongside the video, “From our hearts to yours!! What a throwback, 18 years & still an all time favourite. With so much nostalgia, beautiful Disha & I bring you ‘Welcome to the Jungle’… Never forgetting our Queen Katrina.”

Welcome to the Jungle, directed by Ahmed Khan, promises a star-studded reunion featuring Akshay Kumar, Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, and Arshad Warsi. The film is the third chapter in the beloved Welcome franchise, following Welcome (2007) and Welcome Back (2015).
The original Welcome movie, known for its laughter-packed script and memorable soundtrack, starred Katrina Kaif, Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Anil Kapoor, and Nana Patekar. ‘Uncha Lamba Kad’ especially became a cult classic for its catchy tune and energetic choreography.
Notably, Katrina Kaif will not be appearing in Welcome to the Jungle, as she is currently focused on motherhood.
