Akshay Kumar gets a thumbs up from Virender Sehwag for Gold : Bollywood News

Akshay Kumar is arriving, once again, on Independence with another interesting film titled Gold. The sports drama has been garnering a lot of attention on social media since the promotions. The cast has left no stone unturned in the promotions. The actor took his entourage to New Delhi this past weekend for a special screening. Many known faces attended the special event including cricketer Virender Sehwag.

Akshay Kumar hosted a special screening on August 12 marking the 70th anniversary of India’s first Olympic gold medal win in hockey. Virender Sehwag, who was in attendance with his wife Aarti and two sons, shared a picture with the actor and wrote, "Totally sold on watching Gold. Wonderful, inspiring film. Thank you, Akshay Kumar."

Gold traces the journey of a hockey manager who dreams to win the first gold at the Olympics as a free country. Starring Akshay Kumar, Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Vineet Singh and Sunny Kaushal, Gold promises power packed performances by an ensemble cast. Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, helmed by Reema Kagti, Gold is all set to release on 15th of August, 2018. The film will be clashing with John Abraham’s Satyameva Jayate.
