Ajay Devgn recalls the reason he said ‘yes’ to Thank God on the day of its world television premiere : Bollywood News

Readers would recall that Ajay Devgn joined hands with Sidharth Malhotra to feature in one of a kind fantasy drama Thank God featuring the concept of calculating sins and virtues in heaven. Directed by Inder Kumar, the Rakul Preet Singh starrer is the official remake of the Danish film Sorte Kugler. It released in October last year during Diwali and now, it will be having its television premiere on Zee Cinema.

Ajay Devgn recalls the reason he said ‘yes’ to Thank God on the day of its world television premiere

Thank God is all set for its world television premiere on April 30. Prior to that, CG Ajay Devgn decided to open up on the reason, he decided to sign the film. “Thank God is light-hearted, fresh, fun but is also a film we need. And that’s precisely why I said yes to the film.” He further continued, “Indra Kumar is innovative when it comes to the way he thinks and presents films. I've worked with him since 1997 and I enjoy working with him. Now, with the World Television Premiere of Thank God on Zee Cinema, the magic of the film will reach every family of the country."

Besides Sidharth Malhotra and Ajay Devgn, the film also features Rakul Preet Singh as Sidharth’s wife, Kiara Khanna as Sidharth’s daughter, along with Nora Fatehi in a special dance number. Coming to the film, Ajay played the role of CG, a god who gives Sidharth aka Ayaan a chance at his life to set it right after his character suffers an accident and reaches the afterlife. While Ayaan is initially unsuccessful and find it difficult to prove his virtues, he soon learns a valuable lesson on love, family, and humanity.

Produced by T-Series, Thank God is also available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. As for the world premiere, it will be held on 30th April at 12pm and 8pm on Zee Cinema.
