Ajay-Atul on the success of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ from Adipurush: “Happy to create our own canvas” : Bollywood News

Besides Om Raut’s vision and stellar cast featuring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon, the audience is excited to experience the musical duo Ajay-Atul’s composition in the recently released Adipurush. In fact, their song ‘Jai Shri Ram,’ has been trending on several music platforms. Speaking of the humongous success, Ajay and Atul have confessed that they are happy and scared at the same time.

Ajay-Atul on the success of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ from Adipurush: “Happy to create our own canvas”

During an interaction with B4U Entertainment, Ajay asserted, “When ‘Zingaat’ came, everyone was scared of that song, except us. But then we were told to make a song that can beat ‘Zingaat.’ But even we couldn’t do it. ‘Zingaat’ was a scary song. And now, ‘Jai Shri Ram’ is a scary song.”

Explaining his take further, Ajay said, “You always have to raise your bar and go forward from where you are. You cannot always celebrate (past laurels). Every day comes with new challenges, and you expect something new from yourself and we always choose something like that.”

Ajay went on to reveal that they are always given a reference to one of their songs only except for ‘Jai Shri Ram.’ He said, “We also didn’t have the reference of someone else’s work in this. Though some great songs have been made (on Lord Ram), when it comes to cinematic language, we are the first. So, we were not scared of any comparison and were happy to create our own canvas.”

Before concluding the interaction, Ajay also shared his review for Adipurush. He said, “How we should feel while watching it, get goosebumps and feel proud, happy, you feel like clapping, all of that happened with us and we actually did that. We were shouting, clapping, screaming.”
