Aditya Roy Kapur opens up on his next, Gumraah; says, “It was quite challenging to essay the double role” : Bollywood News

Bollywood actor Aditya Roy Kapur is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming project Gumraah. In a recent interview, the actor discussed the failure of his film Rashtra Kavach Om. He also spoke about the obstacle he faced while preparing for his upcoming film.

Aditya spoke about the failure of his film Rashtra Kavach Om. He told ANI, “No one knows the secret code of success. Yes, I literally put my heart and soul into Om. The film failed but it taught me a lot. You learn something or the other from each project. I did action for the first time in the movie Om. Though the movie did not do well, I hope that everything I did and learnt about the action genre for the movie helps me out in future projects.”

Aditya is all set to kickstart his 2023 with Gumraah featuring him alongside Mrunal Thakur. He will be seeing playing double role in the film. Talking about the challenges he faced while preparing for his role, he said, “It was quite challenging to essay the double role. I also wanted to push myself and challenge myself... so it was interesting to be a part of Gumraah. It's a different film. I hope the audience will like it.”

Gumraah is inspired by the Tamil film Thadam. Helmed by debutant director Vardhan Ketkar, the film is being produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios. It is slated to release in cinemas on April 7, 2023.

Aditya was last seen in The Night Manager alongside Anil Kapoor which is currently streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar. Apart from Gumraah, Aditya will also be next seen in Anurag Basu’s Metro In Dino with an ensemble cast.
