Irrfan Khan is all set to feature in an intriguing avatar in his next directorial Puzzle. The film, which also stars Kelly McDonald, is all set to hit the big screens this week in the U.S. While the cast and crew may be missing the presence of Irrfan, who is missing out on all promotions owing to his ill health, the movie seems to have won hearts already. American actor-comedian Alec Baldwin recently took to social media to give a shout out to the team of Puzzle, appreciating their work and also gave a special mention to Irrfan Khan.

Alec Baldwin took to Instagram to share a still from the film Puzzle and also posted a message about it on the same platform as a caption. He said, “A film you MUST see this summer! Just saw a preview of #Puzzle which opens this Friday in NY & LA. There is magic in this one - the writing, performances, cinematography, and score work together beautifully. Marc Turtletaub has made a wonderfully subtle film and Kelly Macdonald and Irfan Khan deserve serious recognition for their work here.”

Readers may be aware that Irrfan Khan is currently in London and is getting treated for neurocrine cancer. The actor had confessed about being diagnosed with the fatal illness in social media which left not just fans but also his colleagues in shock. The actor, in fact, has a Bollywood release too in the pipeline, that is slated for release next month. The film in question is Karwaan that marks the Bollywood debut of Mollywood superstar Dulquer Salmaan and web-star Mithila Palkar.

Coming to Puzzle, this Marc Turtletaub directorial is inspired by an Argentine film by the same name. Kelly McDonald, who plays a simple housewife, discovers a new passion for jigsaw puzzles. As she sets her foot into this new world of doing what she loves, she finds her puzzle partner in Robert aka Irrfan Khan. The film is expected to release today, on July 27.
