The film, starring Sohum Shah, is being re-released in theatres from September 13, giving both longtime fans and new viewers a chance to experience its unique blend of folklore and horror in cinemas. Tumbbad was perhaps one of the first few horror films that blended Indian folklore beautifully with the horror world. Apart from compelling storytelling and incredible performances, the film’s VFX played a pivotal role, drawing audiences into its haunting world.
