On the occasion of his 61st birthday, actor and filmmaker Aamir Khan shared an update about his upcoming projects, revealing that the past several months have been dedicated almost entirely to script listening and selecting his next projects as an actor. In a video message that is currently circulating widely on social media, the actor thanked fans for their continued support and spoke about how he has been carefully choosing his future films.
“All my love to the Aamir Universe fans, and thank you so much for all the love that you have given me all this time. It really means a lot to me,” he said in the clip.
The actor added that he has spent considerable time evaluating scripts before finalising his next acting projects. “I have been working hard at selecting scripts now for the coming films. The last six months, I’ve only been listening to scripts. So I’ve finally decided on the next couple of films that I’m going to be doing,” he said.
Along with acting commitments, Khan also spoke about restructuring responsibilities within his production banner, Aamir Khan Productions. He revealed that producer and executive Aparna Purohit will now oversee the day-to-day functioning of the company.
“Here onwards, Aamir Khan Productions… I used to spend a lot of time in my production house as well. That is going to be handled by Aparna Purohit. I’m focusing on acting also. Hopefully you’ll see a lot more work from me as an actor,” he said.

Khan also confirmed that two films produced by his banner are scheduled for release this year. The first is Ek Din, which is slated to arrive in cinemas on May 1. This will be followed by Lahore 1947, scheduled for release on August 13.
Additionally, Khan mentioned another project titled Ati Sundar, which he said is likely to arrive towards the end of the year. “Most probably by the end of the year. Yes, Ati Sundar will also come out by the end of the year,” he added.
While Khan did not disclose details about the acting projects he has finalised, his statement indicates that the actor is preparing for a more active phase on screen after spending the past few months focusing on scripts and production responsibilities. He is currently occupied with the post-production work of his upcoming film Ek Din.
The source revealed, “The 61st birthday is a little different for Aamir Khan this year. Despite choosing a celebration, the superstar is completely tied up with the post-production work for Ek Din. The film is getting closer to the release and he is deeply involved in every detail of the film, which is keeping his schedule right."
