The buzz surrounding the upcoming action drama Dacoit: Ek Prem Katha has been steadily intensifying in recent days. Ever since the makers unveiled the trailer, the film has drawn attention across social media and within industry circles for its gritty tone and the dynamic between its lead characters. Now, just days ahead of its theatrical release, the project has received a notable endorsement from Aamir Khan.
Adding to the film’s growing visibility, Khan’s production house shared the trailer on its official social media platforms. The actor-filmmaker also included a short message, writing, “A powerful trailer that sets the tone right. Best wishes to the entire team of Dacoit,” offering his support to the team behind the film at a crucial juncture in its promotional cycle.
For Adivi Sesh, the moment carried personal significance. The actor has, on multiple occasions, cited Khan as an influence on his approach to filmmaking and performance. Responding to the post, Sesh expressed his gratitude and acknowledged the importance of the gesture, sharing his reaction on social media, saying, “Thank you so much SIR!!!” He further added, “When my childhood idol appreciates our work,” reflecting the emotional weight of the endorsement.
Dacoit: Ek Prem Katha also marks an important milestone for Shaneil Deo, who makes his directorial debut with the film. Known primarily for his work as a cinematographer and for his collaborations with Sesh, Deo steps into a new role with this project. The narrative has been jointly developed by Sesh and Deo, with both contributing to the story and screenplay. Sesh, who has previously been involved in writing projects such as Kshanam and Major, continues his association with script development through this film as well.
The project has been shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu. And the film is positioned as a romantic action drama with a strong emphasis on realism and intensity, aiming to blend emotional storytelling with high-stakes action.
Backing the project is producer Supriya Yarlagadda, while Suniel Narang is associated as co-producer. The film is presented by Annapurna Studios, adding further scale and industry backing to the venture.
With its mix of action and romance, combined with a dual-language production strategy and growing pre-release attention, Dacoit: Ek Prem Katha is positioned as one of the notable releases this month. The film is scheduled for a pan-India theatrical release on April 10, 2026.
