It’s been 20 years since the release of Kal Ho Naa Ho starring Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles. The film went on to become one of the fan favourites in Dharma Productions’ history. A day ago, on the 20^th anniversary of the movie, Zinta penned a note reliving the memories. She also thanked Yash Johar, as this was his last project.

Sharing a note along with the video of the title track, Preity Zinta wrote, “Kal Ho Naa Ho was the saddest happy film I did. Nothing can replace those memories & I will forever be grateful to Yash Uncle for making this incredible film. It was the last time he was on set. There will never be anyone like you Yash Uncle. You took a piece of my heart with you when you left. This film will forever remind me of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will forever love you.”

Kal Ho Naa Ho revolves around Naina (Preity Zinta), Aman Mathur (Shah Rukh Khan) and Rohit (Saif Ali Khan). Naina has lost the way of living following her father’s suicide. Aman arrives in her life and lives across the street. He inserts positivity and liveliness into her and her family’s lives along with the help of Rohit. Things take a drastic turn in this love triangle as Aman fights the battle with terminal illness. Directed by Nikkhil Advani, the film was released in 2003.
