Farhan Akhtar starrer Luck By Chance celebrated its 15th anniversary today on January 30. The film, known for its insightful satire on the nuances of the Indian film industry, was cherished by audiences and critics alike and continues to resonate with many even today. The film, which also marked Farhan’s second movie as an actor, featured Konkana Sen Sharma and Isha Sharvani in key roles.

To commemorate this special occasion, Farhan Akhtar, who played the protagonist Vikram Jaisingh, took to social media to share a heartfelt video, expressing gratitude and nostalgia. Taking to social media, he wrote, "15 years of luck, chances and lots of memories. Celebrating #15YearsofLuckByChance," and along with that also shared the poster of the movie.

Interestingly, we hear that Farhan Akhtar was never the first choice for this role. In fact, what most people don’t know is that it took filmmaker Zoya Akhtar, seven years straight to get the film started. She approached six actors to play the lead part and faced rejection from them all. She passed those years assisting other directors and working as a casting director. Finally her own brother Farhan Akhtar took up the part in the film which released in 2009.

Luck By Chance unfolds the story of Vikram Jaisingh, portrayed by Farhan Akhtar, a young and aspiring actor navigating the complex and unpredictable world of the Indian film industry along with his love interest, Konkana Sen Sharma. The film provides a satirical take on the challenges and struggles faced by those attempting to make a mark in Bollywood.

The film also featured several appearances from some of the biggest stars in B-town including Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan, who made cameos in the movie. Apart from them, the film also featured veteran stars like Dimple Kapadia, Rishi Kapoor, and also Sanjay Kapoor and Juhi Chawla in key roles.
