Farhan Akhtar’s much-anticipated war drama 120 Bahadur is set to bring alive one of the most heroic chapters in Indian military history—the legendary Battle of Rezang La from the 1962 Indo–China War. Ahead of the film’s release, the team experienced a deeply emotional moment in Delhi as they met two surviving heroes of the historic battle—Subedar Honorary Captain Ram Chander Yadav and Havildar Nihal Singh, SM.

The meeting was attended by producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, director Razneesh “Razy” Ghai, along with actors Sparsh Walia and Atul Singh, who portray the two brave soldiers on-screen. Sharing this rare moment of pride, the team interacted with the veterans and their families, paying respect to their unmatched courage and sacrifice.

Farhan Akhtar later took to social media to post a heartfelt note along with a picture of the gathering. He wrote, “Was an honour spending an afternoon in the inspiring company of the two surviving heroes of the Battle of Rezang La, Subedar Honorary Captain Ram Chander Yadav ji & Havildar Nihal Singh Ji, SM. Was special to introduce them to @sparshwaliaa & @atulsingh4199, our reel Charlie boys who portray them in the film. Once again, I thank them for blessing us with their permission to portray them in the film and bring their stories to the screen.”

120 Bahadur narrates the incredible true story of 120 Indian soldiers from the 13 Kumaon Regiment who stood their ground against overwhelming Chinese forces in freezing conditions during the 1962 war. It is remembered as one of the bravest last stands in Indian military history. The film’s powerful tagline, “Hum Peechhe Nahin Hatenge” (We will not retreat), encapsulates the spirit of the story.

Directed by Razneesh “Razy” Ghai and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani & Farhan Akhtar under Excel Entertainment along with Amit Chandrra’s Trigger Happy Studios, 120 Bahadur is set to storm into cinemas on November 21, 2025.
