Bipasha Basu on Saturday launched Sahara Manoranjan's 'Mr & Miss Bollywood' - India's largest superstar hunt at Tian in Juhu, Mumbai. Supported by one of India's largest corporate entities 'Sahara India Parivar', the talent hunt is initiated by 'Percept D'Mark'.
The objective of this project is to find the Superstars of tomorrow, by bringing on a single platform the potential acting talent in the country to compete for the most coveted title in filmdom. The meticulously devised project will culminate in crowning of the Best male and Best female as Mr. Bollywood and Miss Bollywood respectively. There will be two male and two female runners-up as well. The competition will be held in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkatta, Banglore, Ahmedabad and Chandigarh.
The advisory panel comprises of renowned film personalities like Ashutosh Gowariker, Karan Johar, Mahesh Bhatt, Raveena Tandon, Ken Ghosh, Manish Malhotra, Asha Parekh, Sarika, Smita Thackeray and Ashok Salian.
That apart, the 30 finalists will get an opportunity to work with distinguished directors like Priyadarshan (Hungama, Hera Pheri), Vishal Bharadwaj (Makdee, Maqbool), Revathi (Mitr), E.Nivas (Shool, Dum), Deepak Tijori (Oops), Apoorva Lakhiya (Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost), Ashwini Choudhary and Anil Bohra.
Incidentally, some of the biggest superstars of Bollywood like Rajesh Khanna and Dharmendra have come in through a talent search.
