The forthcoming summer special CHOTA JADUGAR (3-D) features 38 dogs who are all set to delight the audiences along with child actor Suraj Balajee (of ASOKA fame) and singer/actor S.P. Balasubramaniam. The lead dog, Barkley, provided by Animal Actors Hollywood, was finalized after the director had auditioned 16 dogs in Hollywood provided by three major animal suppliers in Los Angeles. Barkley has worked as a lead dog in several Hollywood productions and is the best trained at Animal Actors. He was able to perform most of the actions in the script without prior training. In this movie, two other look-alike dogs Pixie and Fletcher, who happen to be his siblings were used as his doubles. The look-alike dogs are back-up dogs and were used to speed up production when Barkley was tired. This is a standard practice in U.S. when dogs play lead roles in movies. Besides Barkley, Animal Actors also provided two other dogs, Marcello a poodle with whom Barkley is in love with and Barnum, a boxer who is competing with Barkley for the poodle's attention. The movie also features 38 other dogs that are acting as Barkley's friends in the movie.
