What do Karan Razdan's Hawas and Anurag Basu's Murder have in common? Apart from being erotic thrillers with generous dosage of skin show from their leading ladies Meghna Naidu and Mallika Sherawat, the films reportedly have the same storyline. The story is of a woman who is not happy with her marriage and seeks an extra-marital affair. While Razdan claims that Basu has lifted his idea, Mahesh Bhatt who is the producer of Murder (and well-known for his inspirational ideas) modestly admits that his film is derived, though not from Hawas but from the Richard Gere-Diane Lane starrer Hollywood flick Unfaithful. Moreover with both the films releasing at around the same time, business of both may be affected.
