The battle between Mission Kashmir v/s Mohabbatein is just three days away and all are set to find out who will walk away with the cake at the box office. IndiaFM, over a period of one month conducted polls on the site to gauge the mood of the netizens. Here are the findings. 1) Mission Kashmir leads in the Indian market with about 60% of the total votes polled. 2) Mohabbatein leads the overseas market with 57% of the total votes polled. 3) Audio sales of Mission Kashmir lead over the sales of Mohabbatein by more than 10%. NRI's lean more towards Khans while Hrithik finds favor with the Indian audience. Inside reports say that two hours of Mohabbatein are focussed solely the love story of six youngsters. So Shahrukh Khan fans will be disappointed with the same while Hrithik fans will be able to witness Fiza part II in Mission Kashmir. The promos of Mission Kashmir have acquired greater visibility on all the channels than Mohabbatein.This was due to the fact that Yashraj Films had issued a letter to the channels debarring them from playing the video clippings on the free-publicity programs till such time as the paid publicity came on air. But with audio sales not picking up, the damage on the audio front had already been done. HMV spokesman, on the condition of anonymity, said that the company will have to bear the losses on the account of Yashraj's short sightedness. Mission Kashmir songs have acquired the no.1 slot on all the music countdowns. B4U, Channel [V] and Star Plus have already banned the songs of Mohabbatein. The movie length of three hour forty minutes will also be a deciding factor. To add to the woes, the ticket rates of Mohabbatein are higher than that of Mission Kashmir. Distributors say since there will only be three shows of Mohabbatein per day, they need to recover their money fast. According to unconfirmed sources, an international site having their presence in almost each and every country had approached Aditya Chopra for the online promotion of the film. Aditya kept them waiting for one hour and then told them that Yashraj Films was a bigger brand than that site and they should get lost. According to an inside source, who has seen the rushes of both the movies say that Mohabbatein is a slow still film while Mission Kashmir is a fast paced film. However, the trade reports of both the films are not that encouraging. Mission Kashmir definitely holds an edge over Mohabbatein. They say that some love stories live forever. Let's see whether it is in the mind of cine-goers or in Yashraj's cupboard. Mohabbatein may have to pay a heavy Keematein if the film bombs. Come Friday.
