Vivek Oberoi seems to be going through a purple patch of late with him being central to the success of mega budget films like Zilla Ghaziabad, the eagerly anticipated Krissh sequel and Gyarah Challis Ki Last Local, the sequel of the critically acclaimed Ek Challis.
In between all of this, Vivek has quietly gone ahead and produced a short film that was selected to be screened at the prestigious 16th 'Busan International Film Festival' in Korea. These days every actor who's turned producer has been busy publicising his every move, in contrast Vivek has gone completely unnoticed about his maiden production which is heartening to see.
Watch Indian Circus directed by Mangesh Hadawale follows the fortunes of an impoverished couple who dream of one day being able to afford to take their children to the circus. Set against the backdrop of a corrupt local election; the film at its core is an often hilarious celebration of the human spirit. The film featured at the 16th 'Busan International Film Festival' and the tickets to screenings were among the hottest items going in Busan this week. The screening was attended by Vivek and keeping him company was his wife Priyanka.
Commenting on this, Vivek states, "These are different stories from those people are used to seeing, a different way of seeing things, and it is not all about making money."
