Now this one has come as a whopper of news for sure. In the times when actors are boasting of making crossover appearances, youngster Vinay Virmani has apparently managed to find a Hollywood female lead opposite himself in the form of Adrianne Palicki. The stunning female lead of recent box office success G.I. Joe: Retaliation would be seen as the leading lady opposite Vinay who has already begun work for Dr. Cabbie, an international film which has Quebec director Jean-Francois Pouliot calling the shots.
"Dr. Cabbie is a comedy, the shooting of which is already on in Canada. In fact a segment had already been shot in India just a few days back. The makers wanted to announce the film in a big way and hence stayed away from any media hullabaloo during their visit here. In any case, since the shoot took place in areas like Chandni Chowk and Delhi University, it only made sense to be discreet lest it became unmanageable to wrap up the schedule in tight deadlines", informs a source.
Also, though sources do vouch for Adrianne's presence in the film, more so since Vinay and the young woman were seen dining at Los Angeles quite recently, those in know-how are keeping a complete silence till the opportune moment.
"There are quite a few legalities and formalities involved, especially when it comes to films being made in the West. No one can afford a premature announcement. When the time is right, which should be pretty soon by the way, the pairing of Vinay and Adrianne, who has also starred in biggies like Red Dawn and Legion for this major Indo-Canadian collaboration would be announced with much fanfare", the source adds.
While we are told that the film has Vinay playing a youngster of Indian origin who finds himself in extraordinary circumstances in and as Dr. Cabbie in Canada, we are sworn to secrecy as far as the eventual content is concerned. What is known for sure that is that after Breakaway [a.k.a Speedy Singhs] and David, the youngster is yet again taking an unconventional outing for his film outing.
The core thought of telling an entertaining tale remains intact though!
