Prior to the release of the film, Rakesh Roshan had organised a special screening of KOI... MIL GAYA for Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, Dy. Prime Minister L.K. Advani, I. & B. Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and their families at Films Division, New Delhi.
The response, we had reported the very next day, was simply overwhelming, with the political bigwigs showering praises on the Roshans for making a path-breaking film.
The ministers and their families expressed a desire to watch the film again, so Roshan Sr. flew to Delhi to organise a special screening of the film, which was attended by L.K. Advani, Yashwant Sinha and Ravi Shankar Prasad on Sunday, August 17 at Films Division.
"The reactions were electrifying," Roshan Sr. called this writer as soon as he landed in Mumbai, "In all, there were around 120 people at the screening and the reactions were to be seen to be believed."
That's not all, for even the Prime Minister and his family expressed a desire to watch the film again and so, a screening was organised at the P.M.'s residence on Monday, August 18.
