Urmila Matondkar is upset! And thats because she has lost out on the opportunity of working with M.S. Sathyu, maker of GARAM HAWA. Sathyu had signed Urmila for his new film, which was to be shot in Bangalore. The makers told us that her co-star in the film would be Chandrachur Singh, Avee, her secretary, tells me, adding in the same mood, We allotted dates from January 20 to February 28, but to date they havent got back to us about the shooting.
The dates allotted werent utilised by the makers, but what really upset Urmila was the makers decision to cast Puru Raaj Kumar in Chandrachurs role. Why should we work with Puru?, Avee endorses Urmilas stand, adding, Chandrachur was fine, but not Puru. We are not desperate to grab projects.
According the Avee, Urmila has already returned Rs. 10 lacs by cheque to the producers of the film. But he sounds upset since, to date, they (the makers) havent got back to us! The producers were unavailable for comment!
