Tabu is always game for something that she hasn't attempted before. This time it's a horror film. Guddu Dhanoa, who has several big-budget ventures like BICHHOO, 23RD MARCH 1931 SHAHEED and the soon-to-be-released JAAL THE TRAP [Sunny Deol] to his credit, has directed the film, titled HAWA. Aiming for a June release, HAWA was shot in two shooting schedules 20 days in Manali and 17 days in Mumbai. Actually, I had been toying with the idea of making a horror film since quite some time. It has nothing to do with the success of RAAZ, Guddu tells me, At a point of time I was planning to start a horror film, SHEESHA, with Sunny, but due to Sunny's various commitments, I decided to abandon the idea. Guddu continues, I was taken up when I heard the plot of HAWA. And when I narrated the story to Tabu, she got charged as well. That's when I decided to go ahead and make the film at one stretch. Incidentally, HAWA will be a songless film, although Dilip Sen-Samer Sen have recorded a song ['Main Hawa Hawa'] in the voices of Sunidhi Chauhan and Shehzad. However, the song will be used only for promotion purposes, Guddu is quick to clarify. The maker also denies that HAWA is inspired by a successful English film, released in the 1980s. It's an original fare, he asserts. Will Tabu walk away with all the awards, like the last time when she attempted something different in CHANDNI BAR, only time will tell!
