The long running black buck case involving Salman Khan seems to be finally nearing an end, with the Supreme Court announcing that the final disposal of the case will be made on October 28. The case that dates back to 1998 had Salman Khan embroiled in a legal tussle after being accused of hunting and killing two Chinkaras and a black buck during the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hai in Rajasthan.
This renewed interest in the case comes after Salman Khan had filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court on August 27 appealing for a stay on his conviction. In the affidavit, Salman Khan had argued that he is one of the highest tax payers in the country and it is his fundamental right to practice his occupation which requires him to travel around the world.
In its ruling today, the Supreme Court declined the actor's petition and criticized the stay on conviction granted to Salman Khan by the Rajasthan High Court saying that the law should be same for all.
