Actress Mink and her brother Punnu launched their film production outfit, Bro & Sis Productions, with fanfare at a trendy nightspot in Mumbai earlier this year. However, the brother-sister duo did not make an official announcement of their first project on the occasion.
But Mink and Punnu have given shape to their first project as producers. Titled NEEND, the film will star Sunny Deol [in a dynamic special appearance], Mahima Chaudhary, Jimmy Shergill and Mink herself essaying pivotal roles. Santram Verma, who makes his big screen debut with KRISHNA COTTAGE this week, will direct the film.
We've been working on the script since last one year, Mink informs me, In all these years, I've learnt one important lesson and that is the script is the actual hero of the film. We wanted to be ready with the script before we set the ball rolling.
Incidentally, Mink's brother Punnu has penned the story and screenplay of NEEND. It's an original idea! Punnu has not been inspired by any book or film whatsoever. Actually, the script is what got the lead actors hooked on to the film, Mink states proudly.
A Sahara presentation, NEEND is a psychological-thriller that will go on the sets by April-end and will hit the screens before the year 2004 comes to a close. Daboo Malik will score the music.
