Sunny Deol to play angry Pandav brother Bheem

The Indian animation industry is to witness yet another mythological animation feature film, with Sunny Deol set to give his voice for Bheem, the angry gadadhari Padav brother in the Mahabharata. The actor has been roped in to dub for the Bheem in the animated epic taking his voice and his personality into consideration. Sunny agreed to work on the film after the release of Yamla Pagla Deewana. The animated feature film is directed by Aman Khan and produced by Dhaval, Kushal and Jayantilal Gada of Pen India, who presented the film to the actor. Mahabharata is scheduled to release on Diwali clashing with Shah Rukh Khan‘s Ra.One.

Sunny dubbed for Mahabharata after he completed his first schedule of Mohalla 80. Producer Jayantilal Gada says, “Sunny has already dubbed for the film, which has been in production for the last three years. Crafted under our in-house studio Pen India, this epic animation feature has a fusion of 2D and 3D elements in it.”

The producers of the film are trying to rope in well known stars to lend their voices for the film; Jayantilal said, “Right now we are presenting the film to everyone; this film is going to have an ensemble cast unlike any other animation film in India. There’s another 6-8 months of intensive animation work that’s involved with the lip-sync animation but this is only after dubbing.”
