Suniel Shetty has always been known as an actor who is passionate about sports. The actor has now been appointed as the brand ambassador of World Series Hockey, a joint initiative between the Indian Hockey Federation and Nimbus sports channel.
World Series Hockey aims to resurrect the popularity of India's national sport- Hockey. The event will consist of 8 teams namely Bhopal Baadshahs, Chandigarh Comets, Chennai Cheetahs, Karnataka Lions, Delhi Wizards, Mumbai Marines, Pune Strykers and Sher-e-Punjab who will battle it out for the final trophy starting from Feb 29.
Suniel Shetty is brand ambassador of World Series HockeySimilar to the hugely successful IPL, World Series Hockey too will feature hockey players from across the world. Besides being a brand ambassador of the event, Suniel also owns a stake in the Karnataka Lions team. The actor hopes that through this initiative he is able to create more awareness about India's national sport in the days to come.
