It was meant to be a serious discussion on 'Movies, Magic, Life' at the India Today Conclave in Delhi today but when you have 'Baadshah of Bollywood'- Shah Rukh Khan as the guest speaker, then you ought to be prepared for some irreverent brand of humour.
SRK had the crowd in splits as he spoke on a variety of topic ranging from films to religion. Speaking about our films, the actor said that Bollywood lacks 3 important film-making skills - Screenplay writing, special effects and science of marketing. He also said that we need better visual effects and discipline in Bollywood. Wonder if he is trying to plug in his own forthcoming sci-fi film Ra.One.
The actor also spoke about the dangers of mixing religion and politics and said that issues like education, development and women's upliftment, which are sidelined, are the basic political issues which need to be looked upon.
Finally when a scribe asked him whether he still had his famous six-pack abs, SRK did the unthinkable. He stood up, pulled his shirt up and gave the audience a sneak peak at his abs.
Love him or hate him, one thing's certain with SRK around, there never can be a dull moment.
