Sonakshi Sinha and Armaan Malik engage in an argument over actors given preference to perform at Justin Bieber’s concert

Sonakshi Sinha will be one of the opening acts in the highly anticipated concert of international youth sensation Justin Bieber’s upcoming Purpose World Tour show in Mumbai. While the actress is excited to be a part of the much awaited gig, it has not gone well with the singers in the country.

Sonakshi Sinha and Armaan Malik engage in an argument over actors given preference to perform at Justin Bieber’s concert

In an interview recently, singer Kailash Kher said that Sonakshi Sinha performing at of the biggest concerts in the country sends out wrong message internationally. He said that people from abroad will think that she is one of the big singers in the country whereas she is an actress. He said that whenever someone from West comes to perform in the country, the first preferance is always an actor over a singer.

After this blasting interview, youngest one of the lot Armaan Malik agreed with Kailash Kher’s comments and said that singers in India are always shunned and given less importance than actors. He wrote, “Agree with @Kailashkher sir! Actors are actors & singers are singers. Leave the stage & mic to us, that's our playground not yours.”

In the response to Armaan Malik’s comment, Sonakshi Sinha hit back saying, "A secure artist wud always encourage another artist to grow their skills and follow their dreams. Art in any form should not be suppressed.”

To which Armaan Malik reverted saying something what singers and musicans in this country have been feeling for ages now. He said, “I Agree with u sonakshi.. but I voiced what I felt about how singers are shunned in our country & given lesser importance than actors!!"

The war of words continued between Sonakshi Sinha and Armaan Malik. She said, "And this is definitely not the same tune you were singing when you wanted me to sing for you." To which, Armaan responded saying, "You are mistaking me for Amaal Mallik he is the composer." Sonakshi was ready to hit back and wrote, “Of course i know Amaal is the composer but i clearly remem u both coming up to me after an event a while bk asking to do a song together.”

In all of this, Armaan Malik’s elder brother Amaal Malik jumped in the conversation in support of his brother. He wrote, “I may have said let's collaborate, but Armaan and I haven't attended any such event where we came up together & said this to you.” Sonakshi ended the conversation saying, “good luck to you both.”

Amaal Malik, in the end, agreed with Kailash Kher and Armaan Malik’s thoughts and said, “I second Kailash kher. A music event should have only musicians performing & we should put out our best artists on such a big platform.”

On the work front, Armaan Malik, in the last year, has given some of the hits including ‘Sab Tera’, ‘Sau Aasman’, ‘Pyaar Manga Hai’, ‘Buddhu Sa Mann’, ‘Besabriyaan’, ‘Bol Do Na Zara’. He has also sung Sonakshi Sinha’s latest film Noor’s title track as well. Sonakshi Sinha, on the other hand, will resume second schedule of Ittefaq starring Sidharth Malhotra.
