Soha Ali Khan to play the lead in film based on Delhi riots

Unlike, her brother Saif, Soha Ali Khan who has opted for an unconventional path in Bollywood, will be seen playing the lead in a suspense thriller which will be based on Delhi riots.

Tentatively titled October 31, the date of Indira Gandhi's assassination, the film will be based on the backdrop of the 1984 Delhi riots. Soha revealed that the film will focus on the 24 hours post the assassination of the former Prime Minister and is inspired by a real life incident. Soha also stated that she will be playing the role of a Sikh mother of two children.

The film will be directed by National Award winner Shivaji Patil. However, the rest of the details are being kept under wraps.
