Veteran producer G.P Sippy and Sippy Films celebrated the 25th anniversary of Sholay at Gabbar's Den at Hotel Regent on August 12th. Though the film was officially released on 15th August 1975, the party was fixed for the 12th so as not to interfere with India's Independence day celebrations. Waiters were dressed in Gabbar Singh's costumes and they served refreshments to all the invitees. Though the entire film fraternity was invited to the bash, they were conspicuous by their absence. Dharmendra, Amitabh, Jaya Bachchan & Hema Malini too failed to turn up at the event. Should we call this event Noshow-lay ?
