Aryan Informatics (I) P. Ltd., a company promoted by Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla, along with Bharat Shah and Kishore Lulla of B4U, launched an entertainment portal, www.srkworld.com, on November 14 at The Taj, Mumbai. Other board of directors include Jay Mehta and Mrs. Gauri Khan.
Technology giants Microsoft and Compaq have also shown a keen interest and are the technical associates to the project.
The site has a unique mix of information and entertainment, Shah Rukh Khan told the select gathering. Consisting of about 14 sections, the main attraction is 'Stardome', which contains exclusive websites of Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla, which are already online. Anil Kapoor, Sushmita Sen, Rani Mukherji, Namrata Shirodkar, Johny Lever and Santosh Sivan would be soon joining in.
The site claims to have the most comprehensive database of information available on Shah Rukh Khan. Images from his family album and stills from every movie he has done, are available on the site.
It also claims that it will have direct access to exclusive videos of star concerts from around the world. The site has also joined hands with Venus and Tips music companies for a film music library.
It plans to invest in animated films that are likely to attract huge audiences on the Internet. There are also plans to deliver broadband content and cover live shows over the Net.
