With many Bollywood celebrities voluntarily participating in many campaigns that are directed towards the well-being of farmers, Shah Rukh Khan too has decided to do his share for them. The superstar has decided to become a part of a fundraiser event, organized by Anubhav Sinha titled 'Son of Soil'.
Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha and Shah Rukh Khan, who previously collaborated for the sci-fi superhero drama Ra.One, will now come together for this charity show. Anubhav Sinha, who denied the buzz about alleged fallout between him and Shah Rukh after Ra.One, stated that Shah Rukh Khan immediately agreed to the event, even before he could finish giving him all the details about it. Apart from the actor, others who will be a part of this concert include composers Vishal-Shekhar, singer Ankit Tiwari, anchor Manish Paul among others and the director further revealed that all of them will be performing without remuneration. Anubhav also hinted about yet another director being a part of the event. Though he refused to divulge details, he did add that the other filmmaker will be shooting a live documentary of this concert along with a compilation of behind-the-scenes moments. Needless to say, the money collected through the show will be donated to farmers who are currently facing an extreme financial crisis and committing suicides.
'Son of Soil' will be held on November 28 but Anubhav Sinha is still contemplating on the venue and the show may be held in Delhi or Mumbai, depending on the sponsorship prospects.
