With a handful of celebrities coming under the scanner for their foreign investments, yet another actor who has now joined the list is Shah Rukh Khan. The Income Tax department has apparently sent a notice to the superstar, asking him to reveal details of his international investments.
Shah Rukh Khan questioned about his offshore investments by IT departmentOwing to the recent controversy over the BVI (British Virgin Islands) scam, better known as the Panama Papers scam, the investments made by Bollywood celebrities on foreign shores are being scrutinized. Shah Rukh Khan has been asked to provide details of his investments in places like Bermuda, BVI and Dubai. However, if the tax government has any details or evidence that indicates towards Khan's undisclosed wealth is yet to be known. While it is being said that several other industrialists along with the superstar have received these notices, we also hear that this may be an intentional move asking the rich to specify their investments Income Declaration Scheme (IDS), an ambitious campaign of the finance ministry.
