One of the wittiest comments every made by superstar Shah Rukh Khan was, 'Whenever I start feeling too arrogant about myself, I always take a trip to the U.S. The immigration guys kick the star out of my stardom.' Reinstating the same once again was yet another experience as Shah Rukh was once again detained in the US, this time at Los Angeles airport.
Shah Rukh Khan detained at Los Angeles airportShah Rukh Khan, who is a social media lover, took to Twitter to share about it as he posted, "I fully understand & respect security with the way the world is, but to be detained at US immigration every damn time really really sucks." Considering the actor's sarcasm and wit, it wasn't surprising to see him a tongue-in-cheek comment to go with it as he said, "The brighter side is while waiting caught some really nice Pokemons." On the other hand, authorities haven't revealed about the reason behind the actor being detained.
This is not the first time where the superstar, despite being a global icon, has been detained at the airport. Prior to this, Shah Rukh Khan faced a similar experience at the New York airport as well as New Jersey (Newark Liberty International Airport).
Now, the authorities from customs and immigration have now apologized to the superstar on the micro blogging site twitter. In fact, Nisha Biswal, Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, U.S. Department of State posted on twitter, "Sorry for the hassle at the airport, @iamsrk - even American diplomats get pulled for extra screening!" Further even U.S. Ambassador to India Rich Verma also tweeted, "Sorry for the trouble at LAX @iamsrk. We are working to ensure it doesn't happen again. Your work inspires millions, including in the US." Seeing their response, Shah Rukh Khan too added, "No hassle ma'm.Respect the protocol,not expecting to b above it. Appreciate ur graciousness, its just inconvenient.No trouble sir, respect the protocol & not expecting 2 b above it. It's just a tad inconvenient. Thx for ur concern."
