Besides being Box-Office magnets and superstars in their own rights, Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar have now made it among the world's highest-paid celebrities of 2016, according to an annual list by Forbes.

About Shah Rukh Khan, the Forbes team wrote that the Fan star "continues to rule Bollywood's box office" with lead roles in hit films and also earns multimillion dollars upfront fees and a cut of the back end for his efforts. They also added that "He also cashes in on endorsement deals for dozens of brands most Americans have likely never of'of". While on Akshay Kumar, the Forbes team wrote that "He is one of Bollywood's busiest leading men and banked top rupee for three hit films".
The prestigious Forbes list has been topped by the American singer Taylor Swift with earnings of $170 million.
